Ok.... I just figured it out. It was a third party security plugin... All In One WP Security. I deactivated it and then deleted my chrome extension log in... then re-logged in. It's working!

Yes... it even says, when I hover over it, that it has access to this site. When I log in again, it loads my site wp dashboard up like usual... but when I go to aliexpress, the top bar continues to say: AliDropship To authorize your site, click AliDropship extension icon on your browser panel...
