Hello,

You are welcome to check this article about gateways available with the plugin https://alidropship.com/codex/payment-gateway-choose/

It would be great if you can share your own experience about payment gateways! What payment options are you using on your store? What difficulties do you have? What other payment gateways would you like to use with the plugin?

Check out Square.com its a very seamless way on conducting business as well.

Their fee is 2.9% + 030$ and they deposit payments within 1-2 business days i believe (https://squareup.com/ca/pos/payments) . They also support e-commerce api integration.

https://squareup.com/ca/app-marketplace

and

https://squareup.com/developers

heres the pricing structure. Not sure where the ecommerce pricing structure falls into place but i believe its like paypal as well in the fees owed.

I'm using Only PayPal , no problems so far ! but still worried , I'm using a personal account as the premier is not supported in my country , & think about moving to a business account , don't know what customers see in their paypal , as it still not professional that they see my personal name in their profile .
It would be great if you add the possibility to setup manual payments , so we can accept wire transfers or local payments .

I have also the same issue as above. Using a personal Paypal to receive payments.
I'm worried that if the business starts to expand rapidly PP might freeze the account. The internet is full of horror stories like this one.
What is your take on this?
Is there any other reliable payment gateway (apart from 2Сheckout) that I can use as an individual, without having to start a company to get accepted? (Stripe is not available for me)

You would think Paypal by now would have support premier accounts to those in foreign countries but wow man, that does suck. Looking at international payment systems, Yaros pretty much covered them all when he implemented them.

I will say Yaros might be interested about this one and its called dwolla. Its only for the US market though so if you have setup an LLC in the USA, your in luck like Yaros. The kicker here is there are no payment transaction fees. I believe the only fees you have to pay is when you transfer large sums of cash from dwolla account to banking account. I remembered this service a few years back and was excited cause they were working to support international countries and even support Canada where i live, but they never ended up going that route and this only works for USA.

Here is an example of their fee structure.

"Lower transaction fees
With the exception of cash, ACH transactions have some of the lowest transaction fees. For example, here are the approximate fees involved with a $500 transaction:

  • ACH Cost: $0.55
  • Paper Check Cost: $1.22
  • Credit Card: $9.60 (1.9 percent fee x $500 transaction + $0.10 transaction fee)
The reason that ACH transaction fees are more affordable is that since the transaction deals with the banking network there’s a small interchange fee, usually around 0.5-1 percent of the total transaction—just a few cents in the end. When using Dwolla’s API for your ACH transfers, there is no fee per transaction. "

https://www.dwolla.com/updates/case-study-how-sweep-uses-dwolla-ach-api-for-bank-transfers/

and

https://www.dwolla.com/

There is also Braintree which paypal owns, but fees can be expensive when dealing with international payments https://www.braintreepayments.com/en-ca/braintree-pricing

I'm planning to get a business account , actually i already get one with a separated email but still not use it , i think it made things more organized with invoices , multiple store support ...etc . I need to do more research about it & especially the tax part .

I researched a lot over the last few days and came to the conclusion that a big part of the industry uses stripe to dropship (shopify even kinda advertises it for dropshipping) but its officially against their terms of service.

What is your experience with using stripe, lets say i buy a more expensive shoutout + publish a lot of pins/posts and i get a sudden salespeak will they freeze my account or anything?

How do they even find out im dropshipping (thats why i think its working for most people without getting banned)?

check this out that stripe offers its called atlas. For $500 fee they setup a LLC company for you in tax free state such as delaware. Not only that but they setup your personal bank there too. Takes about a 1 week to process all of that though.

Problem with delaware is there is no sales tax but they have one of the highest corporate tax at 8.7%. Probably better to incorporate your company in these states:

Most Tax-Friendly States for Business
The states that top the Tax Foundation list as the most tax-friendly are:

1. South Dakota: No corporate or individual income tax
2. Wyoming: No corporate or individual income tax
3. Alaska: No individual income tax or state-level sales tax; however, there are local jurisdictions that impose sales taxes
4. Nevada: No corporate or individual income tax
5. Florida: No individual income tax
6. Montana: No sales tax
7. New Hampshire: No sales tax
8. Delaware: No sales tax, but second worse corporate income tax in the nation; however, does have a favorable business law environment
9. Washington: No individual or corporate income tax
10. Utah: Assesses all major tax types, but has low property tax rates and a favorable unemployment insurance tax system

Actually , Atlas program is reserved only for startups , and you need to wait a long time just to see if you are accepted in the program , it can be months , so it would be easy to just go with other companies like myLLC or something to setup your corporate then you can use it with Stripe or whatever .. .

I'm really not seeing any benefit or use to using anything other then a PayPal business account. PayPal is a trusted payment gateway and it integrates credit card payments.I have been using it for years in my eBay business and i rarely have problems and even then nothing that isn't easily fixed.

PayPal does freeze your account once you start getting more and more sales, but this is so you can provide proof of your identity and details about your business. they do this so they can meet their international money laundering prevention obligations, so they are basically checking to see if you are doing legitimate business.

It pays to have another account you can use to make payments while this check is being done (the frozen account can still receive money, but not send it) but once it is done then they wont bother you again if you are above board.

I am going to use paypal standard account and I wish I don't get trouble.

My thoughts on what I have read:
Open a paypal business account, you don't need to use it, but it's better to have it. Sometimes paypal ask for paperwork to open your business account.
So, you don't want to be surprised and maybe be forced to stop selling for days or weeks.
About to use another gateway, people from different countries have different gateways preference, you should do a little research about the favorite gateway from your customers country.

Paypal is an Idol when it comes to Clients & customers rights , but a nightmare for sellers . However there is no other options since we still independent entrepreneurs .

I use paypal but when i try to register for any credit card gateway they ask me for social security number.

I have a usa bank account and billing address so there is no problem with that but the only thing is that i do not have a social security number. The only route would be to setup an LLC?

If i setup a LLC i would also need to setup an EIN?

Is there another route that does not force you to have a social security number, EIN or LLC?

That link shows a picture supporting both web based and mobile based payment systems.

here is the ecommerce api integration page for web developers. Not sure if this will help you.

We have integrated Squareup, but unfortunately it supports only USA and Canada.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to square support!

At this time, Square’s API for processing payments is only available to customers within the United States and Canada. We’re constantly working to improve our services based off of the feedback we receive from customers, so thanks for taking the time to express your interest in this feature.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I’m happy to help!

Oh wow, didn't know that. Its mostly used as a mobile payment processor for those with a business on the go but looks like they have been slow on the expansion of introducing the product to different countries.

Right, regular API is only for Canada and US now.
