Dropshipping Suppliers in USA

I have a plan to start dropshipping and target the USA market. Someone told me that you should make an agreement with dropshipping suppliers in the USA rather than any other overseas dropshipping suppliers. My question is should I go for USA-based dropshipping suppliers, although it will be quite expensive, or buy products from China suppliers.
