Split variations into separate products

This is a killer feature that Oberlo has that would make Alidropship way more appealing.

Just say you want to advertise all the colors of something as separate products. Or that the variations of a given product are actually radically different and should be advertised separately.

Currently in Woo you have to duplicate the product n times, then go in and manually delete all the different variations from each one, and then set to simple product. This would be a really great feature addition at the "edit" stage when importing products.

Yes we can duplicate products in woocommerce but it looks like the duplicated versions will not be updated when price/stock number changes....it's end of 2019 now about 2 years or more since this question was first raised...any solution yet?
