I have done everything as needed, and I still get "Error! ionCube Loader Not found" in the WP backend :(

AliDropship Woo 7.1 - check.

PHP 7.1.18 - check.

php.ini with the following code - check.
max_execution_time = 120
error_reporting = On
zend_extension=/usr/local/php71/lib/php/extensions/ioncube.so
zend_extension=/usr/local/php71/lib/php/extensions/ZendOptimizer.so

ioncube loader enabled - check.
This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine:

Hey there! Try downgrading to php 7.0, Alidropship doesn't work with Siteground on 7.1

Hi, this thread helped but I think there are holes in the information, which took a while to sort out.

On July 3 2018 using Siteground Startup Package
Used PHP Version Manager in cPanel to change PHP versions on public_html folder level.

Using PHP 7.1.18 and alidswoo_ion71 plugin file did not work. I had to create a php.ini file in the public_html folder for ioncube, which contained a single line of code:
zend_extension=/usr/local/php71/lib/php/extensions/ioncube.so

Actually, this combination disabled access to the admin login. I had to rename the alidswoo plugin folder via cPanel, then I could login.
The AliDropship Woo Plugin showed as inactive, deleted it, then removed the renamed plugin folder.

Using PHP 7.0.30 (the default version installed) and alidswoo_ion plugin file does work, if you first create a php.ini file in the public_html folder before you install the Alidropship Woo plugin. The contents of the php.ini file is a single line of code:
zend_extension=/usr/local/php70/lib/php/extensions/ioncube.so

Note: I did not try PHP 7.2.5 and alidswoo_ion71 plugin since I managed to get it working before trying this combination.

To summarize follow these steps:
1 - install WordPress (PHP 7.0.30 installed by default)
2 - install WooCommerce plugin
3 - create php.ini file in your public_html folder, the file contains:
zend_extension=/usr/local/php70/lib/php/extensions/ioncube.so
4 - install Alidropship Woo using the alidswoo_ion file.
All should be good.

I hope this helps anyone else using Siteground Startup and Alidropship Woo.
(I do not know if the GrowBig or GrowGeek hosting packages will be different)

@BlindFreddy I experienced the exact same thing. Thank you

@Yaros AlidropshipWoo is not working with 7.1+ atleast on Siteground hosting...It is recommended to use higher version of PHP. Please check if this siteground issue or Aliwoo issue. I can coordinate with Siteground team if this is an issue on their side.

alidswoo_ion71 + PHP 7.1.18 + Siteground =

Fatal error: The file wp-content/plugins/alidswoo/core/core.php encoded as type [1/71] cannot be decoded by this version of the ionCube Loader. in Unknown on line 0

Yes, Siteground doesn't work with Aliwoo PHP7.1.

Their ioncube loader for PHP 7.1 version is not compatible with the plugin. You will have to downgrade to PHP 7.0 using Aliwoo plugin for PHP 5.6 version like @BlindFreddy did above.

I learned it the hard way when migrating my site to Siteground last week before I saw multiple posts reporting the issue on the forum.

Since then, I moved to A2 hosting and everything works perfectly. (thanks @Mar)

Siteground to my experience is more stable in the way it handles traffic than A2hosting (at least on the new turbo hosting I'm in compared to GrowBig Plan).

Surprisingly, average load times were better on Siteground than A2 (I'm talking about 500ms here nothing to worry about).

Price wise it's comparable, A2Hosting having a clear edge on features with paid Cloud Flare CDN, Litespeed servers, PHP7.1 compatibility, Dedicated IP and UNLIMITED number of sites and traffic bandwidth which is killer compared to bricked Siteground shared hosting plans.

Also, I had a hard time with Siteground support to make them understand the issue with PHP 7.1 compatibility and their free migration service took more than 4 days to migrate my site to their host.

Finally, I migrated my site manually without any issue in 3 hours to new A2 hosting.

Hope that helps.

I move back to SiteGround from A2Hosting just yesterday due to some misunderstanding with A2hosting support. Initially I have this error of ionCube Loader and I remember this issues here in the forum. Actually their support told me that their ionCube Loader has some issue with PHP7.1. Mine was different, the site was up, the error was in the admin page only but some elements like the currency switcher was not showing in the front end. After I gave SiteGround admin access, they deactivated one plugin and everything worked now. I confirm that SiteGround ionCube Loader is compatible with PHP7.1, at least in my website.

lol Out of curiosity what was the problem with A2Hosting?
I did the opposite with Siteground because they took 4 days to migrate my site with their free migration service and the ioncube loader problem.
What was the problematic plugin?
Also, what was your SG plan? I had GrowBig.
I really really hope not to move back my site again ;-)

They suspended my account due security concerns. They said my Wordpress and my plugins which are are all latest versions are outdated. It was ridiculous. They did not lift the suspension until I decided to request my account cancelled and moved my website to SiteGround where I still have an active account. Later until now I still receive e-mails from them to reconsider my decision. My SiteGround Plan is the Starter, but I am planning to upgrade to Growbig soon maybe in the renewal. The account is in the remaining three months. The plugin deactivated was Async JavaScript. It has conflict with Aliwoo plugin and Social Rabbit.

Mine was not a smooth transfer also, it was because of the A records in Cloudflare. I also gave them access to my Cloudflare account and it was resolved. I am familiar with SiteGround. My problem with them before is the imposed limit of resources. But this time my new website is much smaller, so I think it will not be an issue anymore.

Seriously? That’s a bit scary to know that A2Hosting does such things...

Had they received any copyright complains about the product you sell or done that because of dropshipping activities?

I could not imagine some serious company act like this, that’s insane.

On Siteground Growbig plan I couldn’t manage to get Aliwoo PHP7.1 working. Maybe they took it in consideration recently, after I don’t know.

I even sent them a link of that thread so they could figure the issue lol I had a hard time explaining them.

Otherwise I must admit that their live support is awesome and very reactive. Bulgaria rocks lol

Anyway, if A2Hosting do that again I will inform everybody about that.

See the content of their ticket informing me of the suspension and the reason:

The web service of Swift Web Hosting account with username alexaexp on mi3-ss16.a2hosting.com has been suspended.

As a part of A2 Hosting Perpetual Security, we've discovered a security issue in the account. These security issues can commonly be caused by the following:
- Outdated software (WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal, and any plugins/themes associated)
- Compromise of any local computer (virus) that has access to the administrative portion of your account (cPanel, FTP, SSH)
- Accessing your account from an insecure network
- Password does not meet commonly used criteria to keep an account secure
The evidence of the security issue:

No evidence is available at this time. Please contact support

The best way to address this issue is to delete all content and restore a backup known to be clean and working. Please ensure all site software including plugins, modules and themes are completely up-to-date. Update all passwords associated with the account (cPanel, Email, FTP, etc). Please manually review all content under your account to ensure there is no malicious content within them. Even one left-over malicious file can cause the account to be compromised again.

The Security section of our Knowledgebase provides useful information for hacked sites. https://www.a2hosting.com/kb/security You can get a quick start with this guide: http://www.a2hosting.com/kb/security/securing-a-hacked-site

Please take time immediately to address this concern. Contact support to restore your web service once repairs are complete.

Best Regards,

A2 Hosting Support

Another ticket content about the account cancellation:

I am sorry to see that you wish to leave us.
Would you elaborate more on the reasons that made you cancel the service?
Is it related to an unsatisfactory performance of the services offered? Or maybe the price was not right? Is the level of customer service below par?
Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

in the meanwhile, I have generated a full Cpanel backup for you, which you can find in your home directory -> cpmove-alexaexp

So you can see how ridiculous is the reason for the suspension. They said they have no evidence. Also they never informed me of the suspension until I get in touch with their Live chat support. I was wondering why the website was down and keep on finding ways open it, not knowing that it was already suspended. Very irresponsible act.

And you didn't use any cracked plugin whatsoever?

Did you connect from various locations? Used proxies?

Yes, their reason is really ridiculous.

If I have issues with them I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the info @Mar

For those who have issues with ionCube Loader and SiteGround running on PHP 7.2+, I suggest to get in touch with the support team.
I am using the Alidrop woo 7.2 plugin with no problem now
