Thats exactly how it feels like fb+google is a casino bigger than las vegas macau combined
Not if you research exactly who/where to target and advertise something that has something special about it ... not some boring old thing you can get down at the local market/department store. I think that's the biggest mistake of a lot of people make.

Hey all, so i got my first sales this morning after posting fb ads for about 14 hours and spent about 36usd. Its a cheap item and the profit from this sales is not even enough to cover my ads buti guess i should be happy still. =) so if i want a sale like this to be profitable, i have to lower my spending on fb ads by at least 70%...thats quite a lot to reduce...
Anyways, i was doing more research while i was waiting for my apple to drop and i found something i feel quite important: one of the best selling sites i know actually get 90% of their traffics from organic search. Im sure they do pay a lot of money investing in fb ads because they have hundreds of thousands of likes for their page posts and over a million page likes. However, even if they have this impressive numbers of likes after investing so much money in fb ads, traffics from fb is still only a very fraction of their total number of visitor. This makes me think if i should still place fb as my targeted visitor source... Perhaps something else is much much more practical than that...

I would have started with $5 and see how that went first.

I don't see what organic search (from Google, Bing etc) has to do with Facebook ads???? What site is it?

Hey dont be so pissed. This webstore i was talking about has at least 5 times more daily visitors per day than the one you shown me. And i have already told you that their traffics is 90% organic. Whichever that site is doesnt matter. The info i got came from many different places and i did my own math too not just from reading the raw info. If you trust me tjen what i said above about their traffic source should be a piece of info useful enough. If you doubt my result, try those free and paid web analysis services available online. Dont forget to share what you find here too

I'm not pissed ... I'm just amused at your paranoid secrecy :)

And i have already told you that their traffics is 90% organic.
It's the fact that they actually disclosed that confidential info to you but you seem to think their URL is top secret that I find funny and somewhat odd. Something doesn't add up .. that's all.

Don't worry about it. I'm not. :)

It does add up. No one disclose that info to me intentionally to start with. I did my research and i found those info without the site owner actively telling me. Which website it is is irrelevant. Focus on the important part.

You found out where the exact percentage (90%) of this websites sales came from with out the owner telling you? That would mean that they have publicly published that information ... which simply doesn't match up with your desire to keep their URL a secret. If they publish info like that, it's only logical that they would also be cool with their URL being known.

Like I said ... it doesn't add up and I suspect that it's just a fantasy. Which would explain the illogical reluctance to disclose the URL. It would be difficult to disclose the URL of an imaginary site. lol :)

Whats so hard finding everything else you want to know yourself for gods sake?
Hey! What a fantastic idea! I'll give it a try ...

"Hey Google, what's the name of the site pinno is talking about on Alidropship forum? You know ... the one that doesn't belong to him, but publicly publishes confidential info regarding it?"

Google: "No results".

Hmmm ... I'll try the forum search ... "Hey forum search! "What's the name of the site pinno is talking about on Alidropship forum? You know ... the one that doesn't belong to him, but publicly publishes confidential info regarding it?"

Forum Search: "No results".

Hmmm, how else can I find out the name of this mysterious website that doesn't belong to pinno, but he has secret and/or publicly published info about? This strange enigmatic website that pinno is uncomfortable about revealing? This mysterious website that apparently doesn't want it's URL known to the outside world but publicly publishes info about it's sales stats but somehow, magically has tons of visitors managing to go there anyway and buy heaps of stuff?

Hey! I know! I'll just ask pinno! ...

Oh no, I just remembered. I already tried that.

Oh well. I guess I'll just have to move on to more important things ... and not fantasies ... lol :)

@Direct Webstore - I love your signature: "80% of the Worlds's population are not the sharpest pencils in the box so I'm opening a niche store selling pencil sharpeners!"

I agree with you. Are you a fan of Daniel Kahneman and Richard Thaler work?

I will use cognitive bias on my entire site! LOL

Everyone stop adding epacket chinese crap and do us all a favour and start selling top quality items.

"Us"? Speak for yourself.

As for me ... I'd prefer you all to continue making crappy sites with crappy products in order for my competition to be reduced. Thanks. LOL :)

Yeh. I am with you. Akl these people using same drop dead ali themes.
I fail to see how it affects your business. All I see is less competition and who wants to complain about that? lol :)

Most of these sites popup like mushrooms and die just as quickly. The same thing happens in the brick and mortar world with cafes. All these dreamers with no skills, experience, imagination, business sense, creativity or even basic common sense, opening cafes on every corner and then failing within a year.

It's been happening with websites (and cafes ... lol) for years. Nothing new.

:)
