Do I have to use those email services?

Just like the title says, do I really have to use these crappy email services just to send notifications? They all cost monthly, put logos in emails unless you pay higher plans, limit how much you can send and when. Is there a way around this? I really don't want to use these services when I have hosting emails, gsuite emails, mailchimp ect.

I have this question too. I have GSuite and the Alidropship original plugin gives SMTP as an option. I have set up a Web API in Google and I can receive test emails from WP Email SMTP, but it all goes pear-shaped when trying to set up notifications.
