A lot of traffic but NO SALES, where does the problem lie?

Hello,

I have a website and I have it setup and ready to sell. Did some tests and everything seems to work.
The website is also fast and secure yet I am seeing extremely high bounce rate. People just enter the website and exits.

The website is: Chillymall.com
And I am actually selling some products like this cream by using Facebook ADS and it is pretty good optimized as I got so far about 150 clicks from USA for about $15 - $20 and over 300 clicks from Europe, Arabian Gulf and South America but mainly from Europe and Qatar/UAE (They also should speak English so I don't think the language nor the currency is the barrier).

But unfortunately, I am getting literally, 0 sales which doesn't make since as I've had couple of stores in the past and from 20-50 customers, I was getting at least 1 or 2 sales. But in this store, even though the targeting is really well done and the potential customers are high quality ones, visitors aren't buying, they are exiting the store after 20-60 seconds.

Any idea what can I do? Please feel free to test the store and let me know what I could make to drive the sale!

BTW. this website was previously with Shopify and I've did some sales totally about $800 but once I moved to Alidropship plugin and Wordpress to be specific, I am seeing some bad results. Even though, I do believe the plugin is great and it can achieve some great results!

I ask you again to share your thoughts and not just to spy on my work.

Thanks in advance!

As you can see in this attached file, my store's general dashboard. Most of the visits are from Facebook (paid ads).

The 1 order is a test order. Other than that, nothing.

I'm just a newbie like you, so don't trust what I'm saying... but as soon as I checked your site I found it pretty confusing.
Too many products, too many images, too many forms, too many popup chat... And after about a minute I still didn't understand what's your niche

Thanks a lot for your comment!

Could you please clarify about the forms or popup chats? Because as far as I know I don't have form beside contact us and only 1 chat trigger. Many products is because the store is a somewhat a general store selling trending products, mainly through Facebook ads.
The thing is that I'm not really a newbie and I've had 2 successful stores which I closed recently due to legal issues. I've also set multiple stores for clients whom are running a successful business but this store is definitely challenging me and driving me crazy. I also drove 350 visitors today for about $15 - Quality visitors but no sales still over 95% bounce rate. I am thinking this might be of a technical issue. Even though I have checked the website on various devices without a problem.

That's Awesome (your success). It probably is a technical issue. I seem to be going in circles with redirects. What I originally want to sell are home bar supplies (glassware, bartending tools, bar deco). The plug in seemed to integrate with my old wordpress blog, when I added pressable.

Hello Waqas,

Thanks for stopping by! I use a reliable web host (SiteGround). Believe me that I've tried lots of hosts and this is BY FAR the best. I also don't use a lot of plugin, actually, I use only the Alidropship plugin and the Cache plugin which comes in the next point. Here you should setup a good dynamic caching plugin. I do recommend W3 Total Cache unless you have SiteGround then you should probably use their built it plugin to use the server resources properly.

As for stripe, I followed this guide on Medium and it seems to work for now.

You might be right.... But I am not really a new web marketing as I've worked a lot and still working in local advertisement company and I am getting extremely well responses and a 10 out of 10 relevance score. If the ad wasn't serving the people whom are interested in this product, the relevance score would of course be lower.
So the target audience isn't the problem I guess (and again, most of them are from the US that regularly buy beauty products [The Cream Product in this example]).

As for the theme, you're right but I don't think that it creates much of a problem that I have over 90% bounce rate.

What kind of apps did you use in Shopify? Maybe that's why you are not making sales? A countdown counter and a short-stock warning might improve sales, just try and see. I'd remove the express Paypal checkout or just keep it on special product pages optimized with FB because by enabling express checkout you are limiting one item per customer per order, which may hurt your aov (average-order-value for those uninitiated) in the long-run. Also, the default gallery image for that particular cream is not good in the sense of not really doing the sales for you. This goes back to effective copyrighting. I would choose the one with the hairy legs or a before/after image. Shock the heck out of them and da-da you provide a great solution and BAM you make a sale. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks a lot for this valuable information. I'll work on it and give it a shot then will update here accordingly.

As for PayPal Express, I do believe it is good because it gives better overview for the websites and gives a more trustworthy feeling. Even though, I got only 1 abandoned hit from around 800 visitors.

The urgency is a little bit hard here because the ready made plugins are only compatible with WooCommerce. I've tried them before on Shopify and they tend to increase the sales. It affects me also as a buyer.

Also, your storefront is kinda confusing. I literally have no idea what I'm looking at your front page. With WorldOfHarry.com I know it's something to do with HarryPotter merchandise, but your site I have to scroll down to get some idea. Not saying that it's bad, but maybe put one of your best product up there and change it often and see what gets clicks? Like I would put a cream or something in one of the images like replacing your Care Beauty image.

Lastly, I'd recommend getting a free trial with Hotjar.com and they have a free program forever after 15 days, (no relation, not an affiliate, just awesome product), and you'll see why you have such a high bounce rate.

One last last last thing, for the love of e-commerce, change your buy button color to orange/yellow. Many marketers split tested this and have found amazon.com yellow is the best for sales. Not that fuschia or purple-pink color you have on your site, no offense.

Yes my store is kinda confusing and I find it hard to really optimize that because I am selling trendy products and this can be beauty products or car accessories which doesn't make since together and the fact that the theme Davinci has a static homepage, I can't design it as it should be so I might consider to go with WooCommerce.

I've had some heatmaps on the website for some time but didn't really look on the results. However, I'll definitely sign up with Hotjar.
Will also take your suggestion to make the button a yellowish color and remove the PayPal Express button and will see what I'll end up with.

I am also thinking to make this a niche store specializing in beauty products but the name doesn't really fit :)

Thanks a lot for your suggestions and help, appreciated :)

The problem i see on your theme, is that all the shops look the same and some do it worse, some better - but the customer remembers the design and theme ... That does'nt understand much anymore.

I was reading your comments and I love the discussion. I am a newbie and I have been struggling with sales, I don't know what am I doing wrong? Maybe my website is turns customers off or it could be my FB targetting? So far I kind of fighting the monster. I was wondering if you can check my site and give me some advice if there is something I can improve. It's foxandpinky.com
And about FB ads, is it kind of hit or miss?
I don't if my targetting was off, I was targetting some makeup products, but it's kinda hard.
I don't if I am in a very competitive field.
Thanks.

That's your problem. You've totally ignored all advice on the net and made a "general store". They don''t work. Simple as that. You're competing with eBay and Amazon. Scrap it, do some research and come up with a laser targeted niche.
Well, technically they work but they need countless time for branding I guess and the biggest fact is actually the buyer comments on some Facebook pages and oh dear, there are a lot of them. However, having a niche store is definitely better.

I don't know what am I doing wrong?
It seems too general and there's nothing unique about it. Cosmetics, fashion ... those stores are EVERYWHERE.
I don't if I am in a very competitive field.
Yes. It's flooded.

You're not the only one. People seem to be making the same mistake over and over and over and over and don't read all the good advice in the Alidropship blogs and Knowledge Base. The guy who started this thread has the same problem.

Get a NARROW LASER TARGETED NICHE ... Simple as that. But many here just don't do it. Then they fail. Instead of a general store comprising of cosmetics and fashion, choose ONE category and specialize in it.

For example ... "LIPSTICK" ... just specialise in lipstick ONLY. Be the number one authority site for lipstick. But that is just an example of what I mean. Even lipstick sites are too competitive. You need something UNIQUE. Check the blogs and knowledge base on how to use Google Trends etc to find out how much competition there is for a niche before you commit to it.

Good Luck

:)

Hello there! Your website doesn't look trust worthy. Maybe you can try having higher quality logo, removing the watermark from the products, building up your brand on social media... But the best thing you might want to do is to actually hop to another niche. This niche is very competitive worldwide and most of the buyers only buy health and beauty products from a well known company.

Facebook ads might work the best for you because influence marketing won't give you a good ROI.
