ioncubeloader was your issue ,nothing else.
Yes you need to activate ioncube after increase php major version
So just ask hostinger to activate ioncube for 7.4

reverted back to php 7.2 => site is up

I use 7.4 ioncube active and everything is ok in my end.
So is something else in your case , nobody going to know for sure without to see your setting .
Anyway is server relate issue, ask help from your server provide.
Or use the version is working ok for you.
You should check the error log to find what causing the issue, or easier one just move your hosting to alidropship hosting and they will make it work
Keep using outdated version of php make your site very vulnerable
