I have problem with getting a gateway checkout that works with my island because they dont have certaon agreement Some told me they are working on it. But Paypak said that I can use my credit card and visa card to let the customers pay. Do I need to have a gateway checkout? Or can I use my credit card or visa card? We have an company on our island that offer also integration services., and one can sell to all the Caribbean countries. Can I use this company Can iy be added at the gateway checkout list that yr company are working with.

I have dropshipping plug in customer store. I live on the island of Curacao - Dutch Caribbean. I have a paypal account but cant upgrade it to a business account because our country dont has certain agreement. And paypal told me i can just use my credit card or visa card forvthe client to pay.

Are you sure you and Paypal is talking about the same thing? You cannot use a credit card as a payment gateway.

I think that Paypal would have said that their "customers" (not them) can indirectly use their credit cards linked to their Paypal accounts rather than use their credit cards with a payment gateway. Which is just normal. I think they misunderstood what Paypal said. Or they have misreported what they said.
So as far as I can see there isn't any problem with setting up Paypal in their store.
Their only problem is a payment gateway for direct processing of credit cards. A pretty common problem in this forum, ay? I think you have that problem too, right Mar? (Or did before?)

I did not have a problem setting up Paypal as payment gateway. I did have many failed orders in the past, it was when I have Paypal Express enabled in the site. That was long time ago.

Until now I am using Paypal with its option to pay with credit card without logging in, meaning even if no Paypal account. I have tried getting another payment gateway for credit cards but was rejected a number of times, one was 2Checkout. There was one that was available in my country. The company was so eager and I was happy. Then it turned out that it is because I'll have to pay the equivalent of $700.00 for a set up fee. I was shocked, told them when I set up Paypal I did not spend a cent. It is a sign of greed. Even if you can afford, should be avoided since there will be more along the way.

Reguster LLC is not an option for me now. Has to pay $ 500.-- fee for open an account and $ 250.-- a year without earning any dime.

You don't pay for the plugin. You pay for the license. The license can be used with either the Original or AliWoo plugins. I myself have switched between the two plugins several times in the past before settling with the Woocommerce version.
The second link describes a way that costs nothing. One just needs the ability to follow instructions. But like I said, it's a "last resort".
I still think the Woocommerce route with CXPAY is the best way to go. I'd look into it if I was you. And if you're a newbie, I'd also suggest using the Davinci for Woo theme to start with.
And I repeat, LOOK INTO IT first. Do a bit of research before trying Woo. Find out if you actually can use CXPAY first.
And if you do decide to try Woocommerce, BACK UP your present store so you can go back to it if you don't like Woo. Install the "Updraft Plus" plugin (free) and back up to Google Drive.

I think Paypal mean you can use your personal account to receive credit card payments. I have a Paypal business account It has the option to receive credit card payments even if the buyer has no Paypal account. I am using it as a checkout gateway. Use of Paypal differ in different countries. I haven't tried using a personal account as a Payment gateway, but since Paypal said you can use it to accept credit card payment, that mean it can be used as a payment gateway, which is the same word as gateway checkout. Trying 2Checkout is a waste of time.

Before that, I did not think about it, but now, having become an adult and independent, I plunged into my financial system. It's terrible that financial literacy is not taught in schools, after leaving school, it took me a lot of time to figure it out. How to pay taxes, utilities, when I took out a loan, I can write a book about it. I would not have found a good loan on favorable terms without help. I think more attention should be paid.
