Sub-domains or sub-folders for separate stores

Hi, about a year ago Yaros posted the following "The license does not work with sub-folders. You need to use domain or sub-domain". A year on, is that still correct? I am planning to setup separate niche stores on sub-folders as opposed to sub-domains after reading about SEOs. If Alidropship plugin still won't work with sub-directories, then my plan will have to change. If anyone (or Yaros) can confirm I will really appreciate it.

There is no change. The license only work with domain, one license is good for one domain.
