Have you tried this?

change your wordpress settings tab website address.

if your site is https://example.com and your wordpress settings is http://example.com ,

you will get the error you described.

This has nothing to do with your present problem ... but unless you get SSL (https) you're going to have problems with payment gateways. Many hosts have free ones. You better check.
