SEO for 5-alphabet domain name WITHOUT keyword in the domain name

Guys,

I'm using a .co domain name, only 5 alphabets, which would be my brand.
The niche is sports wear.

Is it a disadvantage to NOT use any niche keyword in the domain name?

Or, this is a minor issue?, as long as the SEO is done properly which I think
it would be since I'm getting a custom store built by Alidropship!

not usually. Google loves brands, people will be able to see what your shop is all about in the meta title and description, and your keywods will go in there. Its not a problem at all, and overuse of keywords in domains are penalized by google.
