Question about George's Dock Dublin?

What is the reason that George's Dock in Dublin is drained?

It's been like that for a while now.

I know this is an older post, but I was down there last week and the dock is still drained, with even more rubbish piled up
Has anyone heard if the council ever moved forward with that heated outdoor pool plan, or is it just dead in the water like everything else?

It really is a shame what happened with the rafting project
A heated pool would be brilliant, but the council needs to actually commit to it
