PRESALE: Are script modifications possible?

I have never used a script that uses IonCube or Zend.

Does this mean that you cannot modify the code of the AliDropship script in any way, shape or form?

I'm not anticipating any major mods, just small stuff. Like, for example, if I don't like the wording of a sentence on, say, the checkout page, would I be able to modify it (assuming you can't already modify it in the backend/admin area).
