Plugin not removing images old products.

Even though the option is ticked, It doesn't remove the images of old products from my library. Any idea why this might be happening.
Trash is cleared as well.

Maybe it's just removing the imported images but not the resized ones that Wordpress creates?

This is an old trick to overcome Wordpress filling your Uploads folder with hundreds of images. Maybe it will solve your problem.

By any chance are you using a plugin that renames images files or does other things to image files?

Or are the images in question hosted on Aliexpress?
