If I am reading it correctly .... when you change the order status to PROCESSED
Will the customer get an email update that the order is now being PROCESSED ?

So anytime we change the status does the customer ever get an email ? This is a bit of a worry. The customer doesnt get updated that the order status has changed. Do they get an email when the order is being shipped ?

Your customer receives 2 emails : when he made a purchase and when the order is Shipped.

Yes, that's my question. In this case, now that it is CNY, the order will take time to ne processed and shipped. So how do we send an email with the support email address to inform that there will be a delay?

When these things happen I send an email from the store's email address as sender. And with my logo and signature. Make sure the sender is the store's email address. I use Outlook 2016 to do this.
