Imported Products Showing Up In New Arrivals

Hey,
I'm importing products and then I plan to edit the products and add them to categories in my store.
The problem is they're showing up in my NEW ARRIVALS section on the home page.
Is there anyway to stop this from happening? I don't want them showing till I'm ready.

These products are not visible for your customers until you publish them. You are able to see them , because you are logged in as an admin.
