How to change one product in a customer cart?

A customer has added a product that is out of stock. I have located a similar product on Aliexpress. How do I add that product to that customer's cart?

then, there is not other way? because doing manual my store don´t will send a mail to the customet with the reference number and the tracking number.

If is allready out of stock is nothing you can do beside what I mention above ,please add an extra supplier in you supplier setting for you dont have this issue again

I have auto update, but it was a bad luck issue because the customer purchased at 9:30 and the system updated at 9:32.
