I have the standard alidropship store (non woo version). Is there a way to connect it to mailchimp as an ecommerce store so that I can utilize the ecommerce functionality?

No. It only connects to Woocommerce and other well known shopping carts.
With the Original, you can only use it for sending emails and collecting email addresses. As far as I know ... I may be wrong.

I'm in the process of setting it up with Woocommerce right now and it only had Woocommerce and 2 or 3 other e-commerce solutions to fully integrate with ... and they did not include the Alidropship Original plugin. It has it's own unique database tables that would need special integration on Mailchimp's side by way of a special plugin. (Like it does with Woo and others)
But as I said ... I may be wrong.
Anyone else think the same?

No you're not. I'm using Sendinblue, and they said most email company don't integrate without Woo, so manual is the only way we can send email for now
I don't know .did you setup mailchimp for woo for subscription.This is different pepipost and sendinblue that is for mail notifications.

The Mailchimp Docs https://mailchimp.com/help/ have everything you need to set up transactional and abandoned cart emails with Woocommerce. You can also set up promotional emails as well. I did it myself a couple of years ago.
Now I use Follow Up Emails for Woocommerce, Mailpoet3 (Newsletters), WP-SMPT, and my hosts (Interserver) own mail server (with guaranteed inbox delivery) instead for free.

If you're using Mailchimp, you don't need Mailpoet. MailChimp can handle newsletters and promotional emails as well as transactional emails.
Yes. If you use Mailpoet. But if you collect emails with MailChimp as well, you'd have to manually import them to Mailpoet.
Just the email addresses.

And there is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of all Mailpoet emails which will unsubscribe them and delete their email address from the database.

This data reception form doesn't just work even if you plug it in. MailChimp is a sophisticated service for sending emails to subscribers. You only need to set up an account to collect contacts straight into MailChimp lists. And then you need to configure everything else. You can do that in the Tilda settings. Then you need to go to your store or business account like I have in https://www.seoadvantage.com.au/ecommerce-seo and make a redirect to collect data in the folder.
