Cool, I don't feel so dumb then. I couldn't figure out what I could've missed. Now, If I only I can remember how to modify it after the next update. I'll just manually do it. Thanks, as always, for your valuable insight.

Keep a copy of the modified file and copy/paste your edits into the new files. But having to do this destroys the whole purpose of a child theme ... you may as well just edit the mother theme files and forget about a child theme. Plus, as I said above, the child theme does not even import the colours from the Customisation section.

I've only become aware of these problems over the past few days. But I have Davinci1 and it's child theme on standby to take over at a moments notice ... LOL

There's nothing more I can do on my side ... it's up to the developers. But I doubt they will change anything.

I will probably go back to my Davinci1 Child theme. It has no problems.

Now I find that CSS changes to the slider only affect slider 1 ... have to do extra CSS for each and every slide.
