Here's something I think gets overlooked when importing products from AliExpress.
You find a decent product, import it into AliDropship, and suddenly your store has 18 colors, 7 sizes, and a bunch of options that barely make sense.
Sounds great to give customers more choices, right?
But I'm starting to wonder if we're actually making shopping harder.
Imagine someone wants to buy a simple desk lamp. Instead of clicking Add to Cart, they have to figure out the plug type, light color, size, and five other options.
Some variations even have different prices or shipping costs. Not exactly a great shopping experience.
So here's an idea:
What if we stopped importing every available variation and only kept the 3–5 most useful ones?
Of course, there's a downside. Removing options might mean losing customers who want something specific.
A few questions for AliDropship store owners:
Do you clean up product variations after importing?
Have you noticed fewer abandoned carts after simplifying product pages?
Do you keep unpopular variations just in case someone wants them?
How do you handle variations that suddenly disappear from AliExpress?
Is there a reliable way to bulk-remove unnecessary variations without messing up product synchronization?
I'm especially interested in that last question. Manually editing hundreds of products sounds like a nightmare lol.
Would be cool to hear what works for you guys. More choices or fewer choices?
