Add link parameter for specific product variation or change variation order

Hey, there's a product that I wish to promote and it has like 10 different variations, so when a user click on a link he gets to the default product's variation.

Is there a way to set it up so we could have more control over the main variation of the product?

That would make a nice feature

For this moment it can be done only manually, to create an item for each variation.
