    Allen's Journey

Welcome @Newbies Allen ! Here's a couple quick answers: 1. It really is up to you and your niche market and competition. See the guide (step 5) for an example markup strategy. 2. SSL is important if you are accepting credit card numbers directly with a payment gateway. Some just do PayPal...

    Giving it a shot

I don't know exact stats of course. I would say 600-700 from the giveaway. I got another 300-400 from two shout-outs. Another 100-200 from FB ads that did not get sales, but did get IG followers. The rest from automated following, liking and commenting like Social Rabbit does. I have two more...

    Giving it a shot

It's been a rough week so far for orders despite some traffic (130+ sessions per day). The IG following has been good and has come from a variety of sources. The couple shout-outs I've done helped. The FB ads I've been testing have been most successful on IG and many have followed from them...

Do you guys normally save all the images to your server?

Just to confirm this, I've got SSL on my site and am not importing the images without any issues.

    KevGL's Journey

Congrats on getting it moved @kevgl - that process is usually fraught with time-consuming issues. Looking forward to hearing about your launch.

I understand your position @nick I know you have had a rough start which could be from any number of reasons. A dose of reality is good once in a while. I agree search engine results are powerful, in fact one of my few sales came via organic search. I've done my due diligence with keyword...

    Giving it a shot

I'm running conversion campaigns, but don't have the 'conversion' part set up right yet. I've spent $16.50 on 'experiments' that did not work well. I've spent another $28.50 on the good ads for 118,000 impressions with 1,500 clicks to my site. Since I don't have it set up right yet I'm not...

    Giving it a shot

Journey Update - last 48 hours I've spent a fair amount of time (and some $$) on FB ad experiments. I have hit on a couple audience sets that provide some fairly low cost traffic. (< .25 CPM, < .05 CPC). Conversion rate is not so good as it's only led to a couple small sales. I'm still tweaking...

Notification emails not sending in HTML

Did changing the template to use inline styles fix GMail for you? I agree with @Glady - unfortunately most of my customers use GMail, so the fact it is OK in other mail clients doesn't help.

    Unable to place order automatically

I actually did as well a few hours ago. Hopefully Yaros will be able to see the behavior on one of our accounts

    New method for placing orders

Very interesting Yaros. Is this an individual or organization in China?

Notification emails not sending in HTML

I'm also anxiously awaiting an update on this. I have held off marking orders shipped until this is fixed so good emails can be sent.

    Giving it a shot

My take is I've already spent a fair amount of time personalizing the site to differentiate it. I did what I felt was a minimum to test the viability of a niche. The plug-in and theme give a quick way to do that. If the niche is profitable, I will likely continue to improve the the site and make...

    Unable to place order automatically

I have had the same issue and posted it. My workaround has been to refresh the page. If it does not authorize within 3-5 seconds, close the popup, refresh the page and try again. It usually works on the second or third try, but still very annoying.

    Giving it a shot

Immediately after my last post another order came through, not from the shout-out but via a FB ad. So I'm up to 8 total orders and almost $200 in revenue. I have not yet calculated exact profits. I'm essentially roughly putting any profit back in to shout-outs and FB ads at this point. I plan on...

    Giving it a shot

This shout-out was less fruitful. It was a Fiverr gig that I thought the audience could translate, but no sales from it. A decent follower bump at least. I just hit 400 followers in IG. In an interesting switch, a couple IG'ers have DM'd me asking to promote the product. I'm not real excited...

Slow, but still trickling in here and there. I have been experimenting with Facebook ads which is getting traffic, but not converting too good. Another shout-out scheduled soon so hopefully that gives another push.

This is done in WP Admin under Customization/Social Media. If you fill in the Instagram and Facebook info the widgets appear.

This is the SumoMe plugin. It has other features too, but I'm only using the Share tool.

    Giving it a shot

I've spent a ton of time analyzing FB audiences, but it's true it's part art and science, both of which I'm still learning. I ran some small trials and found one ad that performs very well for CPC, but is not converting very well. Like you say, my niche is broad but there are some sub-niche's...
