Started with about 30 products, was converting okay. Added another 150 over the past month and sales actually went down. Store feels cluttered now and im wondering if i overcomplicated it. Thinking about trimming back down but not sure if thats the right move or if i just need to give it more time.

Same thing happened to me last year. Went from 40 products to 200 and conversions tanked. Ended up cutting back to my top 50 sellers and things stabilized within a few weeks. Less is more with product catalogs imo.

Honestly might just be a traffic issue not a product issue. Where are your visitors coming from? If its broad traffic hitting a cluttered store thats a tough combination. Niche traffic on a focused catalog converts way better in my experience.

How are your product pages looking? Sometimes when you bulk import that many listings the descriptions are a mess and that kills trust more then the number of products does. Worth checking before you start removing things.

Went through something similar. Trimmed my catalog back down, rewrote descriptions on the remaining products properly, conversion rate came back up. Took about three weeks to see the difference. Definitely worth cleaning up before adding more.

Counterpoint - i run 400+ products and convert fine. Depends heavily on how your store is organized. If categories are clear and search works properly the volume of products shouldnt hurt you. Maybe look at your store navigation before cutting anything.
