rubens theme - homepage slider images loading too long

So i have a 500kb slider image. I upload it and then if i open it and save it, for some reason is 3mb in size. Why does this happen and how do I prevent it?


I have tried using image optimizers but they break my logo.

I use wp smush and I never have any proplem with that.

Are you sure for the upload size image in your computer? That what you mentioned is very strange.

Its a 1920x800 image (recommended size). The image file is 500kb. I upload it and then when I right click it and select open image in new tab, and save it, it turns out to be 3mb. Yes, very weird, that's why I am wondering.

Is doesn't matter the dimension for the size of the image..

save ti with "save on web" in photoshop

That is going to reduse the size ,

None of my image of 1050px x 550px Is over 45kb, I have some with only 19kb.

Anyway you must have well knowledge of the photoshop for you understand how the image size really work.

About the different save size , only the alidropship team can anwser that.
