ATTENTION! AliDropship WOO ver. 1.1.0 - UPDATE

@Yaros
I have more then 700 products and All the featured and Gallery images has been uploaded to the server.
Is it possible now to replace only the GALLERY AND VARIATION IMAGES link from my server to external alicdn server.
I want to keep the featured image on my server because I want to resize and crop it according to my theme product thumbnail size.
thnx

Once any images are saved on your server, you can't replace them with the links.

I am using the Woo dropship plugin on two websites. Both are updated to version 1.1.0, both are set to import featured, gallery and variations images, Nice attribute settings are enabled for both, the proper database migration was done. When I download a new product the gallery images and variation images are not downloading. This is only an issue since updating to 1.1.0. Since I sell fashion items the variation photos are quite important. Any suggestions?

Resizing and cropping of external images is not possible.
Storing images
As you know in AliDropship Woo plugin ver 1.0 we added the possibility to import products without saving images on your server. This feature is really helpful since importing products with all images to a WooCommerce website leads to the dramatic increase of the size of its databases and affects its performance. However, we got some issues with this feature. The standard Flex slider in Woo themes (if it is used) can’t recognise the external images (featured images), so we had to save and store all featured images on the server anyway.

Now this issue is solved by adding a new object type to the media that is accepted by all Woo themes.

To make this feature work correctly, you need to update your database after upgrading to the latest version of AliDropship Woo plugin.

Please check the instructions:

1. Update AliDropship Woo Plugin as usual.
2. Right after update you will see this message. Go to the migration page.

3. Click Update button and wait for the database updating process to be completed.

Displaying images in reviews
WP Dashboard => Settings => Nice Attributes.

What's about abandon cart add on for AliDropship Woo plugin? I believe that many people here are waiting for this good news!!!

you do not have any issues, migration is needed only for users who update from ver. 1.0 to 1.1.0. In your case everything is fine and the updating of database is not necessary.

do we have a way not to tell google our images doesn't come from Aliexpress CDN, like finding a way to tell google crawler not to index any images from Ali CDN.

Insert this into your robots.txt file (or make a new one)

User-agent: *
Disallow: /https://ae01.alicdn.com/*.jpg$

Disallow: /https://ae01.alicdn.com/*.jpeg$
User-agent: *
Disallow: /https://ae01.alicdn.com/*.png$

Disallow: /https://ae01.alicdn.com/*.gif$

Tested it on ... https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/robots-testing-tool/ and it works. :)
