Translation in Michelangelo theme

Hi everybody,

I'm setting my store but I've found that the placeholder "I'm shopping for..." isn't translate in French (the same for "Search" word).



I would like to know what is the best pratice for translate word by myself :
- edit the .po file and generate the .mo (will the traduction file be erase if I update ?) and upload them on the server
- inject by the dashboard a javascript script for replace the placeholder with the appropriate language

You can translate this phrase in GlotPress. There's no need to make changes to the theme code.

FIRST :
For translate any word for my theme it seems I need to be authenticated.

I guess the login of Alidropship forum doesn't work.
Could you say me the process to create an account ?

SECOND :
As well, in the translation domain, in my home page I could add "FEATURED PRODUCTS", the translation doesn't appear in the GloPress, is it an oversight ?
