Transfer products to another site

Good evening,
I'm testing a new shop and I've installed the plugin in a subdomain of one of my sites.

I am going to buy a new domain name and I would like to transfer the products to my new shop.
How is this possible? I install the plugin and import the products from my old database?

I would say to copy the database and the Wordpress files and paste them in a new installation directory and then connect a domain name to the directory. Then go to the database to change the base URL. Database connection should stay the same.
