So just thought i would share this update/story/rant. (TLTR version below)
Over the weekend I was looking to order something from Aliexpress for myself and to my surprise there still wasn't any ePacket shipping to Canada. When i questioned a few suppliers, they all responded the same way, "We can't ship to Canada due to Canada post strike".
I could't believe it
. I then notified them that this is not true as the strike was over 1 month ago and their response back was , "well that's all we know and we haven't been told different so just use standard shipping." I thought, ok fine i'll do that for now but the final straw was when the product page showed $2 for standard shipping but the checkout page would switch it to premium shipping which was $30 (standard no longer a option). And this was the case on all the suppliers that had the product i wanted.
So i questioned them again about the shipping and again it really irritated me that the suppliers didn't seem to care and that Aliexpress had dropped the ball on this big time.
Oh and Aliexpress still had a banner stating Canada Post was on strike also. So i had enough and decided to contact Aliexpress, China Post and Canada Post and express/vent my frustration. I actually spoke/chatted with someone at all 3 companies and was told to wait for a response.
Well i got a response from all 3 today and all 3 stated they had no idea this was happening and that they would "take corrective actions asap". Of course there was a bit of the blame game but the main thing is they said they will fix it asap.
So let's see how long it takes them to fix the situation and sorry for the long post. I just had to do something about it and wanted to share that speaking up actually does work sometimes.
