The beginning..
It all started with a YouTube video by somebody called Johnny reviewing a travel jacket which I was interested in back in early July of 2017. The review is a negative review so I say this must be a legit guy so I checked out his other videos. It turned out that he is promoting a dropshipping lifestyle with S...fy and telling us about his mentor Anton. His videos got me interested so I checked out Anton. And what did I find? Almost 3K for a course on dropshipping! Whew, you must be kidding. I can use that as my startup fund instead of paying some one to teach me things I can find on the net. So, I looked around for any open source solutions (meaning free) and came across WooCommerce. By this time, Ob..lo is targeting me in the face left and right whenever I click something. I checked out Ob..lo, it has a free tier but you need to be a S...fy user to use it, which is a monthly overhead of $29 after the free trial. Again, I checked out free or cheaper alternatives and came across 2 or 3 plugins with the same function as Ob..lo and started the comparison. Some were cheaper than AliDropship but it seems that AliDropship is more stable (the demo websites work). And after signing up for the "free ebook" (everybody does that now to get your email), I got an email giving me a discount. Since it is a one time fee (vs a subscription model), I jumped on it. I was also up-sold on SocialRabbit for a one time fee vs a regular subscription (scarcity or urgency works). So, 3 weeks after purchasing the AliDropship plugin, I'm almost ready to launch my shop.
