Hi All,
I am looking for help/suggestion on how the Alidropship team and other Dropshippers in this forum overcome the issue with the business address?
I am asking this because I am just staring at this and I don't want to create/register a company with all the hassles that it brings just for a business model (dropshipping) that I am not 100% sure that it actually works. Alidropship sells Add-ons for Facebook Business and Google Merchant which allow you to sync your store with these social network platforms so you gain more exposure to the public and also it brings free traffic from these sources as it helps you a ton with SEO.
The problem arises when you are configuring both accounts for the Facebook Store and for Google Merchant, during the process, you will be asked for your physical business address which doesn't seem like something important for beginners like me but this is actually very important and has to match the address that you put in your website, otherwise, Google and Facebook will see you as an unreliable business and will ban your account!.
It has happened to me for both accounts and the fake business address is the reason for this, which is completely reasonable if you think about it, no one would buy a thing from you if they cannot return an item to you and hence Google and Facebook will protect their customers by banning your store. Also, For both company (Facebook/Google) in the business information section form, you will have to fill out the information about taxes, this is also related to where you are located!. If you are located in Europe for example but you want to target the US market then you won't be able to do it if you don't have a business address in the US and if you try to get a virtual business address, well, Google will still ban you because you will need to set up a tax form which is linked to where you are located and your virtual business address in the US won't work as you don't have a business registration number associate with that address. And this is the same story for Facebook.
So, all in all, it seems like if you want to use those amazing tools (Add-ons for Facebook Business and Google Merchant) to target the US market, you have to register an actual business in the US or use them for your website where you are located.
Could someone share his/her experience on how they overcome this and if they had to register a real business?, what would be the best way to start? Did you just simply use your home address and start sell in your region?
Thanks!.
