How to compete with FBA

I am becoming apprehensive about being able compete with large companies who are selling thousands of products on amazon at prices I cannot compete with even using using Aliexpress. I don't see how they are making any money! Can someone please tell me how I can compete?

They are getting their products from Alibaba, not Aliexpress. And some even fly to China to get their products for extremely low prices. The keychain you find on aliexpress for $2 can be found on Chinese markets for $0.2-$0.5.

Find a niche and you're unique, you don't need to compete

You don't have to be the cheapest in the world.

Even on amazon you'll see many vendors selling the exact same items for different prices and everyone still getting sales.
