How does payment work in dropshipping

Am new to the concept of drop shipping. my question is this: Is the order I place on aliexpress with the customer's money or will I use my fund for the payment? I need clarification on this

Basically customers pay you and you pay Aliexpress.

It is up to you really. If you have funds other than the payment of the order, you can use it. If you want to pay with the payment of the order, you can but in most cases you have to wait for the process, e.g. if you use Paypal as the payment gateway, you have to wait 3 to 4 days to move the funds to your bank, just an example.
