Few questions regarding payments

I want to accept credit/debit cards on my site.
What should I do?
If I register PayPal account will they provide me with the option to accept payments from customers' credit/debit cards without redirecting them to any 3rd party like paypal?
If they can't do that what are my choices?
I live in Bulgaria btw.
