El Greco Theme Upgrade Question?

WP Admin Panel alerts me for El Greco Theme Upgrade to 1.3.3. I know the site is running on its Child Theme. Should we update the Child Theme as well? Is it safe? Thanks all!

Why do you have a child theme ? What update do you want to do there?
You created and child theme (i believe) in the first place for you can customize your theme, without the updating of the parent theme effect the change in your child theme.

You're exactly right and that's what I meant. Updating the parent theme or not makes no difference, since my store is running on the customized child them. I just wonder if I should forget about updating the parent theme at all, cuz it may deprecate certain functions being used in the child theme.
