I have been using the plugin and its been working great. I have noticed when i import some products they come across as a variable product when they should be a simple product product type in woocommerce. If i decide to update them to simple product will that cause any problems with ordering.

Happened to me. The best, fastest and easier way is to simply click "Edit" and not import when you are importing products and simply delete the variations. However, you'll have a little problem when placing the order automatically but just press "proceed with selected variation" when you click automatic ordering.
