Add mandatory phone for customer profiles

In the Customization menu there is a Required Fields section for making phone number mandatory. However, customers are able to bypass this without filling in any phone number. This could be because the customer registered their user profile before making the purchase. Perhaps the mandatory field for phone is missing during registration of the user profile?

Unfortunately it is not possible to modify the fields for the user profile and change it to mandatory. Please fix asap or suggest a solution.

If the local post is missing the phone and can't reach the customer, they often return parcels.
