What is the best notification e-mail provider starting out (for free)?

I've looked around in this forum and answers pop up arying from Mailchimp to SendGrid to Pepipost, not to mention a post that's already similar to this one. Still, I'll like some more discussion of this topic.

Currently I've gotten my eyes on SendInBlue, but the notification e-mail provider thing is confusing me a bit and I want to be moving quickly with setup.

A lot of the free plans don't come with automation and autoresponders, but if I'm not mistaken the plugin allows for automated e-mails through the notification e-mail provider? It would be oh so helpful if somebody could clarify.

Simply use mailgun, all the other services will probably refuse you if you're a new store and the automation is done by the plugin so no worries, just set it up correctly.

I'm using Mailgun. You just need to set it up properly and add the api to the plugin. The plugin does everything else automatically. The only problem with mailgun is you have to add your credit card to get the free package.
