How can we create a child theme for El Greco original theme?

I tried to create a child theme for el greco original theme (not woocommerce version, we use alidropship original plugin). But some images were gone, some theme settings were gone. I corrected them, but still I'm facing some issues. Has anyone created a child theme for el greco?

How did you make the child theme? Manually or using a plugin like Child Theme Configurator?

I ask because it can be difficult doing it manually, which is why there are so many plugins available to help.

Creating a child theme is the same for either version with or without WooCommerce, as WooCommerce is just another plugin for WordPress.
